Trithany MAHON and William Marion CHAFIN appeared in the census in 1870 in Hardy Township, Logan Co., VW. They appeared in the census in 1880 in Hardee Township, Logan Co., WV. William Marion CHAFIN (son of Pleasant CHAFIN and Mary "Polly" CHAPMAN) was born in 1845 in Logan Co., WV. He died in 1946. Trithany MAHON and William Marion CHAFIN had the following children:
